I'm sorry, I can no longer cube like I once did.

This is an email from some guy named Chris to the "Rubik's Cube Speed Solving" email group; of which I am apparently subscribed to...
Hey everyone, I haven't posted in a while, or updated my pages in forever :), so I figured I'd let everyone know what was going on. For the past six months my right wrist has been hurting during and after I do the cube. It usually starts to get pretty uncomfortable after the first solve or two and the discomfort usually starts to turn into twinges of pain after twenty minutes or more. So obviously I don't really have the capabilities to practice like I used to. I practice enough to make sure I don't forget the algorithms and to prevent me slowing down too much, but I've had to almost completely give it up. I solve it for maybe 10 or 20 minutes a week. So anyway I've picked up a new obsession since I can't pursue the cube as much. I'm as addicted to chess now as I was when I first started the cube, so I'm not lacking in the whole mental masochism area :) But I just wanted to let everyone know that because I'm starting college soon and am going to pursue that with all my energy, and because I can't hardly cube anymore, realisicly I'm probably not going to update my pages for a while. Ron has control of the records page to do with as he wants now so if anyone has any questions or concerns he's the one to talk to. If the world championships happen I would love to go and compete, pain or not I want to be there. So hopefully I'll see some of you guys in the next year. I made Ron a moderator of the group so if there are any problems or concerns about the group (moving it, changing it) talk to Ron. So anyway I hope everyone is doing all right. I'll check out the club every now and then and post from time to time but I'm probably not going to be around much.

Later;

Chris

Thanks, Chris. You made my day.
